I’m Gozie Victor Ene, a senior software engineer and solution architect specializing in .NET and enterprise application development. I care about what happens after the first release: how a system performs, how it fails, how easily another engineer can understand it, and whether the architecture can evolve with the business.
My software journey began in 2009, and my professional career has taken me across desktop software, web applications, APIs, mobile development, databases, cloud services, DevOps, distributed systems, and technical leadership.
I started in an era where ASP.NET WebForms, WinForms, WPF, SQL Server, stored procedures, and desktop integration were everyday tools. That background still influences how I work today because it taught me to understand systems from the database upward, not just from the user interface downward.
Over time, my work moved into modern ASP.NET Core, Blazor, cloud services, event-driven systems, mobile applications, containerized workloads, CI/CD, observability, and architecture. I’ve worked on technology for government agencies, taxation, logistics and freight, workforce management, biometric attendance, identity verification, and SaaS products.
That range matters to me. I’ve seen software at different ages: brand-new products, mature enterprise systems, systems that need to scale, and legacy platforms that cannot simply be thrown away because years of business knowledge live inside them.
I’m interested not only in whether software works, but in what happens when it grows.
Working across both legacy and modern technology has made me skeptical of architecture by fashion.
I don’t believe an application becomes well designed because it uses microservices, Kubernetes, CQRS, or any other fashionable pattern. Those tools can be excellent, but only when the problem justifies the complexity.
I prefer clear boundaries, measurable performance, secure defaults, good observability, explicit tradeoffs, and architectures that a team can realistically own.
Sometimes the right answer is a distributed system. Sometimes it is a modular monolith. Sometimes the fastest route to a better product is not a rewrite at all, but a disciplined modernization of the system already delivering value.
Technology should earn its complexity.
Software should be understandable, testable, maintainable, and safe to change.
The simplest architecture that reliably satisfies the requirements is usually a strong starting point.
I prefer understanding the whole system rather than treating my component as somebody else’s problem.
Technology changes quickly. Strong engineering fundamentals make that change easier to absorb.
Strong teams grow when knowledge is shared through reviews, pairing, documentation, and thoughtful technical discussions.
Cost, delivery speed, risk, user experience, and operational impact belong in technical conversations.
Outside software, I’m naturally curious about technology, entrepreneurship, product development, psychology, and how people make decisions. I’m especially interested in the intersection between engineering, business, and human behaviour because many difficult technology problems are not purely technical.
I also enjoy cars, travel, and following how emerging technology changes the way people live and work.
I’m interested in senior engineering, lead, staff-level, architecture, and technical leadership opportunities where I can contribute beyond individual tickets—especially roles involving .NET, cloud systems, platform modernization, distributed workflows, databases, product architecture, and engineering quality.
I’m based in Nigeria and open to relocation and international opportunities, as well as remote roles where the team and engineering challenge are a strong fit.
